TranscriBridge ("we", "us", or "our") operates transcribridge.com and srt.transcribridge.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store plain-text passwords.
Uploaded files: Audio, video, and subtitle files you upload for transcription or translation are stored temporarily to process your job. Files are deleted from our servers after processing is complete.
Usage data: We store job metadata (file name, duration, status, timestamps) to power your workspace. We track character and minute usage to manage your credit balance.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or payment details — only a record of the transaction amount and the credits added to your account.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide transcription, translation, and subtitle muxing services
- To manage your account, credit balance, and job history
- To send transactional emails (account verification, job completion, purchase receipts)
- To improve and maintain our services
We do not sell your data. We do not use your uploaded content to train AI models.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate TranscriBridge:
- Azure AI Translator (Microsoft) — for subtitle and text translation
- Stripe — for payment processing
- Resend — for transactional email delivery
Each service operates under its own privacy policy. Uploaded content may be processed by Azure AI Translator to perform translation.
4. TranscriBridge Muxer (Desktop App)
The TranscriBridge Muxer is a Windows desktop application. It processes files locally on your computer — no audio, video, or subtitle content is sent to our servers by the app itself. The app downloads ffmpeg from a third-party source (GitHub) on first run. A valid TranscriBridge account is required to download the installer.
5. Data Retention
Uploaded files are deleted after processing. Job metadata and account information are retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS, hashed passwords, and JWT-based authentication. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at privacy@transcribridge.com.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
